Mountain Vista Medical Center Holds FREE StrokeCheck Event on Tuesday, May 9

May is National Stroke Awareness Month, an observance designed to increase awareness of the signs of a stroke, as 80 percent of strokes are preventable.

A simple, free StrokeCheck can help to identify the risk factors for a stroke before you or a loved one experience a health crisis. That’s why Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa is holding a free stroke check event this month, in partnership with the American Heart Association.

The free StrokeCheck event takes place from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, May 9, at Mountain Vista Medical Center, 1301 S. Crismon Rd. in Mesa.

The public is invited to participate in this free stroke check event, which allows attendees to receive a free blood pressure check, cholesterol check, body mass index (BMI) check, and medication check. In addition, Mountain Vista Medical Center will share health information and distribute giveaways.
