Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa is marking its first full decade of delivering quality health and wellness care to the East Valley community with a free Family Fun Celebration tomorrow, July 22, from 10 a.m. to noon.

“This major milestone in Mountain Vista Medical Center’s short – but significant – history, comes as community-based hospitals across the country step up to provide not only integral health care services close to home, but also take on the role of a community wellness hub with its pulse on local needs,” said Jake Golich, interim CEO of Mountain Vista Medical Center. “As we enter the next decade, we’re looking at how we can continue to evolve as a hospital, to further cement Mountain Vista as a health care provider of choice that’s improving the quality of life for the individuals and communities we serve.” 

As part of the celebration, attendees will be able to enjoy Mesa Fire and Medical Department fire truck tours, special appearances by “Go,” the Phoenix Suns’ gorilla mascot and “Scorch,” the Phoenix Mercury’s mascot; games, crafts and face painting for kids; entertainment; a physician meet-and-greet; and even an opportunity to interact with the MAKO robot, a one-of-a-kind technology that’s used for total hip and knee replacements, while enjoying snacks and refreshments.

Mountain Vista Medical Center has significantly evolved since its opened in 2007. Today the hospital offers a wide range of comprehensive health care services to specifically address the needs of East Valley residents including orthopedics, cardiovascular care, maternity and women’s services, geropsychiatry, emergency and trauma care, and neurosurgery and stroke care.
